HostGator Fan
I’ve added a little affiliate button to my blog for HostGator and a larger one on my About page because, based on recent experience, I really am a HostGator fan! I started helping a friend with a website hosted at a competitor, and they do not use cpanel, which would be no big deal if they used something that was just as good or better, but their home-grown control panel is just ok. They don’t support mailing lists at all, unless you buy a product, and it is just difficult to figure out how to do things. At first I figured it was just me – I’ve only got experience with one IPP, naturally they are all different, but when I started googling for how to do things, I found reviews and complaints and well… seems like my husband made a Really Good Decision a few years ago when he moved our family website from whatever it used to be (something in Floriday because I remember the site went down during a hurricane, Andrew I think) to HostGator.
